My Adventure with YWAM - Romane

My name's Romane, I'm 19 and I went to a disciple school between September 2023 and February 2024. I wanted to go on an adventure somewhere to discover a new culture and improve my English, and I ended up going to New Zealand to do a DTS with a climbing option.

Right from the start, God showed me that I didn't need to do or achieve anything to get close to him, and that I belonged in his family. I was able to discover and experience his truly unfathomable nature, full of goodness and worthy of worship through the speakers, friendships, nature and people from different countries I met. God gave me confidence in my faith and renewed my curiosity to learn more in this exciting life with him.

This was genuinely helpful, and the takeaways are easy to put into practice right away. It lines up with what I've seen work, and it challenged one assumption I'd been holding. I touched on the same subject from a different perspective at https://cherwellcricketleague.com/img/pgs/the_cabal_s_uncx_integration_could_give_uncx_another_launchpad_distribution_channel.html a little while back.

Reading this felt like a conversation rather than a lecture, which I really value. It's easy to overlook the basics, and you did a good job reminding readers why they matter. I've collected a few resources on this same topic at Bonzo Finance for anyone who's curious.

I appreciate that you didn't oversimplify things while still keeping it readable. You touched on a few things that rarely get discussed but make a real difference in practice. I pulled together the steps I actually follow at https://compoundfinances.net, in case it saves anyone time.
