Composition workshop 2025

Since 2015, we have been organizing an annual week-long composition workshop for people who want to develop their musical creativity. It is a joy to spend time with such motivated individuals. We are a great team of composer friends, and together we try to listen attentively and encourage them to hone their gifts. The participants are mostly people of all ages (ranging from 20 to 79!) who need to know how to improve their skills and make their art more accessible to everyone. We act as mentors, but also as role models, musical coaches, writing coaches, and spiritual coaches. It is always wonderful to hear the compositions that are created, improved, or finalized during this workshop. Equally important are the testimonials from these individuals who leave feeling encouraged and motivated to persevere and improve. Many arrive feeling a little discouraged or misunderstood in their gifts and talents. We usually manage to find ways to re-motivate and boost them! The church needs these artists who will convey the message of the gospel through music or lyrics that grab attention and challenge people, reaching a certain audience that would not be open to listening to the message of the gospel without this artistic contribution. We are a motivated team called to encourage them, and it is always a joy to see all the gems that come out of these exciting weeks of writing and music.
